How to submit an article

AR Expeditions Journal prefers that articles be submitted electronically to the executive editor. Please send one E-file of the manuscript to brody@montana.edu. Remember to include all text and graphics as IBM/MAC compatible files.

Following are the steps of the editorial process:

  • The executive editor receives the article and sends an acknowledgment to the author. The article is posted for review in the editorial section of the AREXPEDITIONS web site, the article is assigned an editorial review discussion group on the web site,
  • Two editors are assigned to review the article, they electronically submit their comments on the article to the editorial review discussion group, the reviewers notify the executive editor if the article is worth pursuing for publication,
  • If the article is deemed worthy of inclusion in the journal, the author is invited to the editorial review discussion group to dialogue with the reviewers about the content of the article and their recommendations for revision, revisions are made and posted in the discussion group until the article is ready for publication,
  • The article is published on the web site and the editorial review discussion group is open to the general readership for continued dialogue on the content of the article.
